Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-1899)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the ui-blob handler in CGit before 0.12. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

The vulnerability allows remote attackers with permission to write to a repository to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and conduct HTTP response splitting attacks or cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks via newline characters in a filename.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-1901)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Integer overflow in the authenticate_post function in CGit before 0.12 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a large value in the Content-Length HTTP header, which triggers a buffer overflow.
