Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-7038)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to #BASIC_IMPACT#.
The MHD_http_unescape function in libmicrohttpd before 0.9.32 might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service (crash) via unspecified vectors that trigger an out-of-bounds read.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-7039)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing a long URI in an authentication header. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
