The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Integer overflow in ptserver in OpenAFS before 1.6.2. A remote attacker can use a large list from the IdToName RPC to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-1794)

The vulnerability allows a remote #AU# to read and manipulate data.

Buffer overflow in certain client utilities in OpenAFS before 1.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long fileserver ACL entry.
