SB2012112201 - Resource management error in Xen

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 security vulnerability.

1) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-4535)

The vulnerability allows a local non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.

Xen 3.4 through 4.2, and possibly earlier versions, allows local guest OS administrators to cause a denial of service (Xen infinite loop and physical CPU consumption) by setting a VCPU with an "inappropriate deadline."
