Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 security vulnerability.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-1770)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Integer underflow in the dccp_parse_options function (net/dccp/options.c) in the Linux kernel before 2.6.33.14. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service via a Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) packet with an invalid feature options length, which triggers a buffer over-read.
