Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2007-1869)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
lighttpd 1.4.12 and 1.4.13 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (cpu and resource consumption) by disconnecting while lighttpd is parsing CRLF sequences, which triggers an infinite loop and file descriptor consumption.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2007-1870)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via a request to a file whose mtime is 0, which results in a NULL pointer dereference.
